Currently, the development of flying cars and flying motorcycles is underway all over the world. Japan seemed to be late in this category, but several companies started development and succeeded in flying. Some companies have announced commercialization. The "XTURISMO" of ALI Technologies introduced this time is one such unit.
ALI Technologies aims to realize an air mobility society where cars, motorcycles, drones, etc. can freely come and go, and started accepting orders for X Turismo on October 26, 2021. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2022. X-Turismo is powered by an engine and a motor, with a total of two main rotors on the front and rear of the aircraft, and a total of four sub-rotors on the left and right. The thrust of these rotors is changed to tilt the aircraft, allowing it to move back and forth, left and right, and up and down. The control device and seat have a strong image of a motorcycle, but the basic flight principle is the same as the drone used for shooting.
The stability of the aircraft is automatically maintained by autonomous control by electronic control, and the operation system is very simple with only the switch around the handle and grip. There is no foot control. It looks easier to operate than a modern ground bike with complex devices.
These designs and controls are very important elements for the new air mobile. There are many people in the world who want to fly in the sky, but they often think of difficult operations and flinch, or fly in the sky as if it were a different world. The operation system and cockpit, which are based on the image of familiar motorcycles and cars, should remove such hurdles and lead people to think, "I think I can fly this myself."

expansion
Prior to its official debut on October 26, 2021, "X Turismo" has been exhibited at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo since October 9, 2021. It is not a mockup, but an aircraft that can actually fly.
expansion
The rotor has two mains and four subs. Unlike helicopters, it does not have the ability to autorotate when power is stopped (sliding like a glider), so multi-rotoring is essential to ensure safety. The photo shows the aircraft seen from directly behind.

The operation buttons required for maneuvering are concentrated on the handle grip. You can perform the necessary operations without taking your hands off.
