The first half is CIO's "Wi-Fi compatible network camera" that was opened and reviewed. I had a good impression of the serious attitude towards craftsmanship with regard to the quality of the accessories.
As I wrote in the previous article, CIO, which sells Wi-Fi network cameras, has released various advanced and interesting products that are independently developed. Crowdfunding site "Makuake" is no longer a regular image. And each item is highly rated.
In the second half, I would like to go from installing the app on the smartphone to setting up the Wi-Fi network camera!
What is written in the article
The app that supports CIO's Wi-Fi network camera is called "eSmartCam". thing. The evaluation of the app itself is not very good, but there are almost no apps with good evaluation in the first place. Is that what you mean? I can't use it unless I install it for the time being, so I'll try to install it.
After selecting "Register", enter your "Account Name" and "Password". It's a simple registration form that doesn't require an email address. Don't worry, we are fully responsive to Japanese.
Enter the account and password you registered earlier to log in.
An image with a long description appears. Finally, if you want to receive proper "notifications" in "real time", you should turn on the automatic start setting of the application. Select "Install Now".
Since the screen changes, look for "eSmartCam" and turn on automatic start (turns blue when turned on).
Something popped up on the screen again. It's weird Japanese. Would you like to register your email address or phone number in case you forget your password? It is that. Since Coco is unnecessary, I set it to "Install later".
If you select the questionable Japanese word "Add a camera", the screen for selecting the type of camera will switch.
Select "PTZ Camera" from the displayed cameras.
When the screen changes, select "Install UR Code". Isn't it a mistake in the QR code because you see the pattern! ?
Once the preparations on the smartphone side are completed, connect the Wi-Fi network camera to the power supply without pressing "Next".
This time, I connected with the included cord, but basically any cable that supports MicroUSB connector should be usable (at your own risk).
When you plug the AC USB charger into an outlet, the Wi-Fi network camera will automatically turn on. I don't really understand at first "Pipo Pampan! ! ] makes a loud sound and jumps! ! !
When it is ON, the front lamp flashes in yellow-green, and the beeping sound continues.
Here, go back to the smartphone screen and select Next.
The item "Reset the camera" appears on the screen, so I followed the instructions to reset it even though I didn't want to hear that loud sound again (I checked later and it was not necessary to reset at first. When reconnecting only).
When you press the reset button on the back for 3 seconds... "Beep Beep Beep Beep! ! ! ! ! ’ followed by ‘Scene’. I let my guard down for a short while. "Pipo Pampan! ! ! 』 ・・・・. I have never set it, and I doubt if the reset was necessary. Take a step back and proceed with the settings.
Wi-Fi network cameras do not support 5Ghz, so if your smartphone is connected to 5Fhz, the settings will not work. Let's start setting after switching to 2.4Ghz.
Confirm that the line name of 2.4Ghz is displayed and enter the password. After inputting, click next.
Follow the on-screen instructions and point the displayed QR code at the lens of the Wi-Fi network camera. It says within 30 cm, but it seems that it won't read if it's too close.
If the loading is successful, it will certainly read "Tidon! ! ’ will sound. And somehow I heard a female voice and the connection was completed. Finally made it! ! !
When the connection is completed and you select Next, the connection status with the Internet will be checked. Once the connection to the Internet is complete, you can finally operate the camera!
There is no need to show the inside of your house! As a trial, I put a picture postcard in the shooting box and moved the camera with the controller.
It's really fun because it's like moving a robot. If you install it in a place where you can see the whole room, you can see the whole room pretty neatly.

I think that "SD" or "HD" resolution is enough for daily use. "FHD" has a larger data capacity, but the image is still beautiful. "FHD" is recommended when you want to keep a video of your pet or baby as a memory!
Start the camera and select the resolution from the rightmost item to complete the setting.
A Micro SD card can be inserted where TF is written. The maximum capacity supported is 128GB.
When you start the camera, select the setting mark on the upper right.
Then select Preferences.
Select SD card recording settings.
You can choose between "All Day Video" mode, which keeps recording videos all day long, and "Motion Record" mode, which starts recording only when there is movement in front of the camera. Motion recording is recommended for purposes other than ``I want to monitor the inside of the room all day long''.
When you use your smartphone to check the inside of the room when you go out, and when you discover an intruder, or when you want to take a picture of your lovely pet, the save function on your smartphone is convenient.
If you leave the data on the smartphone side, you can rest assured even if an unforeseen situation occurs. Make sure you have proof!
It's super easy to do. First start the camera.
If you select the camera mark on the operation screen, the screen that the camera is projecting at that time will be saved as an image.
When you select the video camera mark on the operation screen, recording will start from that point.
If you live alone and there are no moving objects in the room, you should set the "motion alarm" function. . If there is any movement in front of the camera, an alert will be sent to your smartphone. As soon as there is an alert, you can see the entire room from your smartphone, so you don't have to go home feeling uneasy.
Select the setting mark on the upper right with the camera activated.
Next, select Alarm Settings.
Select motion alarm.
You can choose between high sensitivity and low sensitivity. If you want to detect moving objects firmly, I wonder if the high sensitivity setting is good here.
If you actually walk around in front of the camera...
Your phone will be notified that there has been some movement in the room. If you turn the motion alarm "ON" while you're in the room, you'll get a lot of unnecessary notifications, so don't forget to turn it "OFF".
Motion alarms are not very useful when you want to know how your baby is rolling over on the bed. In such a case, cry alarm. Detects sound and notifies the smartphone.
Select the setting mark on the upper right with the camera activated.
Next, select Alarm Settings.
Select crying alarm.
You can choose between low and high notes. If it's a baby's cry, the higher one is fine.
When there is a reaction, you will receive a notification like this. Make sure your smartphone is on so that it can be noticed.
If either motion alarm or crying alarm is turned on, the time setting item will appear. If the time you want to notify the alarm is fixed, set it in advance.
*When setting the alarm, set the "time zone" in the basic settings to Japan.
If there is any movement in front of the camera, the camera will automatically track the subject by setting the "mobile tracking" function. track.
I actually tried going back and forth in front of the camera, but it follows me properly. Even if it's for security purposes other than tracking suspicious intruders, if you automatically track your pet, you'll be able to reduce the hassle of operating the controller.
Select the setting mark on the upper right with the camera activated.
Next, select Alarm Settings.
Turn on mobile tracking to complete the setup.
When I used the mobile tracking function to automatically track the cat on the screen, it looked like this. It tracks pretty well.

There is still room for improvement, such as the translation being a little rough and the sound emitted from the main unit before setting it up is too loud.
But once you set it up, it's pretty comfortable. I'm impressed that I can see inside the house from outside. I have experienced being burglarized once in the past, so I think it is essential to strengthen home security.
If you have an Internet environment and one camera, it is also good that you can easily introduce it.
After all, being able to save to both the SD card and smartphone is reassuring in case of emergency. After receiving the notification, check the room as soon as possible and start shooting! By doing so, you will be able to prevent crime with a considerable probability!
In addition to being used for crime prevention, it also supports crying alarms, so it is sure to help those with small children with household chores. I think that the cost performance will be very high because it can be used for both crime prevention and security.
