On December 9, 2021, Burn Repair announced that it will start drone inspection services in the Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, and Chiba metropolitan areas and Aichi prefecture from the same month.
The number of new housing starts is expected to decrease in the future due to the recent situation such as the wood shock (rising timber prices), the declining population, and the decrease in the younger generation who are the housing acquisition group. Along with this, there is an urgent need for each home sales company to build continuous relationships and reliability with existing home owners and to generate sales through after-sales service. In addition, natural disasters such as typhoons and torrential rains have been on the rise in recent years, and early restoration of housing is desired.
The company has solved these issues by introducing a drone inspection service that has the immediacy and accuracy of estimation calculation based on visualized inspection data and measurement data calculated from images, shortening of inspection time, and safety. The company plans to solve the problem and work toward the realization of housing cycle support that supports housing and living.
The drone inspection will be carried out by the company's staff who have been trained in roof inspection. The size and area of each part are automatically displayed from a bird's-eye view of high-resolution images without worrying about the shape and height of the roof (three stories, etc.), so early detection of defective parts and highly accurate estimation Can be created.
By checking the images and videos taken with the drone in real time, it becomes clear at a glance the defective part and deterioration over time, and the owner can also present the necessity of repair and the estimate in a convincing form.
In addition, it is not necessary to install scaffolding, it is expected to prevent falling accidents due to visual work on the roof, significantly reduce inspection man-hours and costs, and improve staff safety.
Currently, there are 12 certified pilots (as of December 2021), and the company plans to accelerate the education and training of new staff from 32 bases nationwide and expand the area where drone inspections are deployed nationwide at an early stage. ..
