NICT has developed a transparent AR display system that allows you to experience 3D display with naked eyes with a simple configuration of holographic film and multiple cheap small projectors.The system projects full -color images using about 30 small projectors, and can be seen in a large number of people without wearing 3D glasses within a diagonal 35cm, a horizontal viewing angle of 60 degrees, a vertical viewing angle of 10 degrees.Can.Regarding the light control technology, the cooperation of Kyoto Tachibana University was obtained.In addition, NICT and Toppan Printing are conducting a demonstration experiment to reproduce the face measurement data that contains high -definition and skin texture taken on the Toppan printing light stage in order to explore the potential of new communication by the system.I succeeded in reflecting the natural face expression.
■ Future prospects
NICT and Toppan Printing will continue to cooperate with the potential of new communication using 3D content. In addition, utilizing the knowledge and technology that has been cultivated so far, digital twins that connect virtual space and real space, not only entertainment fields such as virtual characters, but also surgical training and surgery support that indicate the human body 3D, etc. We will promote application to various fields. NICT promotes the further high -definition of 3D content, simplifying and flexibility of the system, corresponding to various 3D data (for example, CAD data, BIM data, point group data), etc. The aim is to develop technologies that can contribute to the fields (for example, construction, education fields, etc.). The Toppan Printing is to accumulate various measurement data related to the human body, make use of the management and operation know -how and knowledge under high security, and aim to build a digital content generation platform that can be adapted to various areas.
